You need to know that a Farm Labor Camp has been proposed to be built at 10283 E Brittany Lane (North of Bryant Lane) consisting of a 12 units that are 800 SF plus a huge shop. The San Joaquin County Building Department sent the attached notice to the closest surrounding neighbors and left it intentionally vague in hopes of avoiding a PUBLIC HEARING and only after many phone calls and investigation did we find out that the property will in fact be used as dense population farm labor housing. We must demand a PUBLIC HEARING and put a STOP to this!
If the big money backers of this project succeed in getting this approved, it w SEVERLY DECREASE HOME VALUES and could INCREASE CRIME in our neighborhood WHAT YOU CAN DO

Update: The San Joaquin County Development Department has admitted that we were not given enough time to voice our concerns and will be sending out a new letter giving us 30 days to respond. They also said that we will have a public hearing. Please continue to write letters and send emails and make as much noise about this as possible.

Want to voice my concerns against the proposed labor camp in our neighborhood. Will not be able to attend the meeting this evening as there was not enough time in the public notice printed in 10/19/2016 News Sentinel. We did receive notice from the county on other matters with NO mention of this proposed camp and it is important to us. We do not need anything of this nature in our area. You can use our names if need be as we are against this "camp' in our area. I fear it not only can cause traffic issues, but also personal safety issues. We live on Peltier Rd. just southwest maybe a mile away.

I received the following response from Chuck Winn last night. The most concerning part is at the end where it says "If the right of way is approved by the Planning Commission, the project can move forward without any additional review by any other governmental body other than for the building permits."

I received the same response last night. I also emailed my concerns to Kristen Olsen. The number of emails shapes perception. To a politician, perception is reality.

We will not be able to attend this meeting tonight due to previous commitments (playing in a piano recital) and not enough notice to the public. Unfair as all get out. Only learned of this proposed labor camp in 10/19/16 News Sentinel (yesterday) We did receive notice of the general plan meeting with NO mention of this matter which will be of great importance to us. I fear issues of traffic and personal safety. We live approximately 3/4 of a mile to the southeast on Peltier Rd. Please voice our concerns and vote to turn down this project. If it passes, we could all turn our private residences into farm labor camps.

Do you know who the eventual owner of the labor camp will be. Who will the eventual corporate owner of that labor camp?

I feel it is imperative, to share the information that is gleaned from the county, By each of us, for us all to work together as a collective team. Lance Lemos, has been incredibly forthcoming with sharing the info he has obtained so far.

Greetings all community members in order to aid the dispersal of information I have created a Facebook public group called Acampo Community Coalition. Please use this to help our cause gain awareness. Share with friends and get the word out to more people. The more group members we have for this page the stronger and more influential we become at the public county planning commission meeting. Please be respectful and absolutely no profanity as this page being open to the public can be viewed by anyone. Below is the link to group
