I am pleased to say that the proposed Farm Labor Camp in Acampo has been stopped! John Droge signed a cancellation for the purchase of Brittany Lane and will not be proceeding with project. I personally want to thank everyone in our community for pulling together and showing your support. I'm sure the public outcry was a huge contributing factor in stopping this project and I'm proud to be a part of this community.

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays! Now it's time to get back to business! Although many of the neighbors near this project demanded that the applicants be required to complete a new and truthful application, the Community Development Department (CDD) did not Require John Droge and Fred Smith to do so. They are instead moving forward with the existing application and have issued a Revised Application Referral for Project No. PA-1600188. I just received an email from the Community Development Department with the attached Revised Referral and they are giving us until January 27th to submit any recommendations or comments.
After they have reviewed all our comments, the CDD will complete a NEW initial study with their recommendation for the Planning Commission to either Approve or Reject the application at next hearing. They could also issue a new negative declaration based on their findings. The date of the next hearing has not been set. I highly recommend that everyone send emails and letters to the CCD expressing our concerns. You can send letters or emails to: JENNIFER JOLLEY Community Development Department 1810 E Hazelton Ave, Stockton CA 95206 [email protected] Phone:209-953-7307 Fax:209-468-3163 We are rallying everyone to come to the 11/3 public hearing at 5:00 PM for a friendly demonstration before the meeting. Our strength is in our numbers because Public Outcry makes a real difference! Bring a sign if you can and be creative... Let's tell Droge where he can put it! Remember that the location has been changed to the Lodi Grape Festival grounds. See you there!

We had hundreds of neighbors arrive at the public hearing, of which may half were able to enter the building. We have asked Mo Hatef and Jennifer Jolley to provide a big enough venue for our next hearing so everyone can participate, but they are giving us the run around. We have hired Attorney Brigit Barnes to represent us and she has sent the attached letter requesting the same. Now it's time for all of us to speak up for our rights! Please call the Community Development Department and email ALL of the planning commissioners and staff. Below is the contact information.
